Moving to the upper of the Saucony Peregrine 12, it is again simplified. You can see it’s a very simple kind of mesh patterning. Here it is all the way around the shoe. There are way less overlays compared to previous versions of the Peregrine. The Peregrine 12 felt great during short to mid-distances, which I consider under 10 miles and under two hours. During longer efforts, my feet began to feel fatigued and uncomfortable. In the past, the Peregrine has come with a ‘top sole’ sitting beneath the insole and above the midsole. Lots of users found that after a while this extra layer of padding would come apart from the shoe, leading to durability issues.
